Position: Advanced In-Home Caregiver - FT - AMs ONLY

Overview

This role provides care from 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM to clients when a caregiver calls in, during caregiver time off, or for newly enrolled clients until a permanent caregiver is found. The schedule is consistent in days/times, but workload and client assignments shift daily to fit organizational and client needs. The role requires experience and comfort in providing cares due to varying scenarios, clients, and care plans.

The position can see between 3–5 clients per shift and involves driving between client homes, with paid travel time and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal cares and support as needed for assigned clients
  • Transferring clients and assisting with household chores and meal preparation
  • Complete required documentation of records of care
Schedule

This role has a consistent and stable schedule up to 30 hours per week. There are no mandated hours or overtime, and the role includes every other weekend off.

Benefits
  • Pay starts at $17.75/hr + $1/hr extra on weekends
  • After 6 months, pay increases to $18.00/hr; after 1 year, $18.50/hr
  • Earn up to $5/hr by carrying the call-in phone on weekends*
  • $75 gas card at the end of the first week of job performance

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
  • 18+ years of age
  • Own a smartphone for Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance to serve clients throughout Dane County
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Able to work around environmental hazards (odors, second-hand smoke, animals, cleaning supplies, adverse living conditions, etc.)
  • Available to work every-other-weekend and holidays
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Capable of lifting/moving/pushing/pulling 35 pounds
  • 6 months of experience delivering personal cares
  • In-home experience preferred
