Work ScheduleFull-time, 100% FTE, day shifts. Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. No weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Responsibilities- Join our amazing group of float team members to collaborate in delivering remarkable patient-family centered care.
- Enjoy expanding your healthcare skills while floating to multiple Primary or Specialty Care clinics throughout UW Health.
- Join our world-class team of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals in our Primary or Specialty Care clinics to provide care ranging from preventative to highly specialized programs and most everything else in between.
- Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, document chief complaint, medications, and allergies as well as administer medications, immunizations and treatments.
- Educate and promote the importance of wellness and healthy lifestyles to patients and families.
- UW Health offers clinical and administrative continuing education opportunities for Medical Assistants including AAMA approved CEUs, Elsevier Skill Packages and free weekend webinar events (twice per year).

- High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following Required
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Licensure as an LPN
- Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program
- Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee
- Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated
- One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification
- 1 year as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Preferred
- Certified as MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within 1 Year Required or
- Licensure as an LPN Upon Hire Required
- If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure, must have current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification
- CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
