Responsibilities
  • Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
  • Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, including offering immunizations and solving patient problems.
  • Completing basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting bin inventories.
  • Actively seeking opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge to better assist patients.
  • Remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs, including volunteering to travel to stores as required.
  • Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
  • Delivering additional patient health care services (immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and off‑site clinic staffing) where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification.
  • Supporting immunizations: completing licensure and training requirements, educating patients about vaccines, monitoring adverse reactions, reviewing patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
Required Qualifications
  • Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes age, education, and licensure/certification.
  • State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
  • If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age.
  • If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or equivalent program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting.
  • Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
Essential Functions
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
  • Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, shift quickly, confirm prescription information and accuracy.
  • Customer service and team orientation: help people in a friendly manner, respond to patient reactions.
  • Communication skills: verbal and written communication, active listening.
  • Mathematical reasoning: use math to determine dosages and supplies.
  • Problem resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose best solution.
  • Physical demands: mobile, lift up to 20 lbs, repetitive tasks, precision, visual acuity.
