Weekend/weeknight/holiday call rotation.
Compensation: $28.32/hr, based upon experience
Hours Per Week: 32
Weekends: Some

The Surgical Technologist performs as a member of the surgical team providing technical patient care and hands‑on expertise in the handling of surgical instruments and equipment during routine and emergency cases. The role assembles and prepares equipment, instruments, and supplies for all specialties using surgeon preference cards as a reference, sets up and maintains a sterile field while anticipating and responding to the surgeon's intra‑operative needs, and functions as a 2nd assistant during surgical procedures.

Understanding and maintaining current knowledge and practice of hospital policies and procedures is essential.

• Graduate of an approved one‑year or two‑year surgical technologist program.

• Knowledgeable in aseptic technique, scrub skills, anatomy, and surgical procedures.
• Knowledgeable of the purpose of correct medications and solutions used on the surgical field.

• 6 months of previous surgical tech experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist.
