Job DescriptionPart-time, 90% FTE, day/evening shift. Working 8- and 12-hour shifts between the hours of 7:00 am – 11:30 pm, weekend rotation required between the hours of 7:00 am – 7:30 pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
Responsibilities- Provide compassionate care to patients as they receive treatment in the Emergency Department.
- Be one of the first people a patient interacts with and assist with taking blood samples and getting IVs and catheters started.
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment.
- Communicate directly with providers, nurses, patients, patient’s families, and other caregivers regarding care for patients.
- Record information in the Electronic Medical Record.
- Respond to pages/codes and assist as directed.
- Act as an observer for behavior health complaints.

- Completion of EMT-Basic Required
- Completion of AEMT or Paramedic program Preferred
- Relevant experience in Emergency Departments, hospitals, or other healthcare entities to include EMS Preferred
- EMT – Basic license or National Registry of EMT Required
- CPR/BLS certification Required
- National Registry or Wisconsin Advanced Emergency Medical Technician or Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic license Preferred
- ACLS and PALS certification Preferred
