Senior Medical Lab Technician OR Medical Technologist – Weekender – Core

Work Schedule
: 75% FTE, night shift. Friday – Sunday 8:30 PM – 6:30 AM. Holidays as they fall on weekends. Hours may vary based on operational needs.

Pay
:
Pay range reflects both titles. Eligible for up to $2,250 sign‑on bonus for Senior Medical Lab Technician or $3,000 for Medical Technologist. Additional compensation may include evening and night shift differential, weekender differential. Relocation assistance may be available.

Responsibilities
  • Perform testing in the clinical laboratory (moderate and/or high complexity).
  • Advance troubleshooting, maintenance, and problem resolution.
  • Make strong decision‑making independently and provide teaching/training when needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinic staff, and co‑workers.

Education
  • Minimum:
    Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology; or equivalent 60 semester hours (24 lab technology courses or 24 science courses).
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology (minimum 60 semester hours with 24 lab technology courses or appropriate combination).
Work Experience
  • Senior Medical Laboratory Technician – minimum 1 year performing moderate and some high complexity testing; successful completion of competency assessment; or 2 years in a clinical laboratory.
  • Medical Technologist – no minimum work experience required.
Certifications

Minimum – Certification may be desired.

Preferred – Certification by the board of ASCP or similar agency in Medical Lab Technician, Medical Lab Science, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Blood Banking, or Molecular Biology.
