Overview
The Hepatology Physician Assistant (PA) - in collaboration with the interprofessional team - manages the care of patients with or at risk for Hepatocellular and/or Pancreatic Carcinoma and will be a research coordinator for the multisite PREMIUM study.
Responsibilities- This position will report to the Medical and Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider Section Chief and work across multiple service lines including GI - IR - Radiation Oncology - General Medicine - Primary Care - and Research
- The clinical duties include assessment and management for those Veterans pre and post HCC treatment and management and surveillance of cystic pancreas lesions.
- This position may include inpatient and outpatient care and could include travel to other ambulatory settings
- The PA works collaboratively with attending Surgeons - Fellows - Residents - and Nursing
- The research component will provide Research Coordination for the approved multisite study VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package
