This Opportunity:
** HVAC Systems
*** Assist in the design of heating, cooling, ventilation, and exhaust systems for commercial buildings
* Perform heating and cooling load calculations
* Select equipment (AHUs, RTUs, boilers, chillers, pumps, VAVs, etc.)
* Develop ductwork and piping layouts
* Support energy efficiency and code compliance efforts
** Plumbing Systems
*** Assist in the design of domestic water, sanitary, storm, and specialty piping systems
* Size piping, pumps, water heaters, and fixtures
* Prepare plumbing plans, riser diagrams, and schedules
* Coordinate plumbing layouts with other trades
** General Engineering
*** Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit
* Review submittals and respond to RFIs
* Participate in field visits and construction coordination
* Work under senior engineers to develop technical skills

Essential

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
* Basic understanding of building systems and mechanical principles
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with load calculation software (e.g., HAP, Trace, Energy Plus)
* Exposure to plumbing design standards and codes
* EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure
* Experience in consulting engineering or construction environments
* 0–4 years of experience in commercial HVAC and/or plumbing design (internship experience acceptable)
