My client, a multi‑disciplinary consulting firm known for strong technical delivery and a collaborative, people‑first culture, is seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) to join their growing structural practice. With offices across the Midwest and a reputation for providing integrated engineering and development solutions, they offer the chance to make a meaningful impact across a wide range of building and site development projects.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of challenging designs, work closely with architects and project partners, and help guide the next generation of engineers—all within a company that values professional growth, mentorship, and high‑quality work.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage in structural design from early concepts through final documentation for a variety of building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

  • Producing detailed structural analysis, calculations, and design solutions using industry‑standard software.
  • Preparing drawings, specifications, and reports with accuracy and consistency, while upholding established internal standards.
  • Conducting and overseeing site visits to evaluate progress, confirm compliance, and support construction activities.
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams to drive coordinated and practical outcomes.
  • Participating in project meetings and contributing to problem‑solving discussions.
  • Providing technical support and mentorship to junior team members.
Requirements

My client is seeking a skilled engineer who can contribute technically while also demonstrating strong communication and coordination abilities. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • 4+ years of structural engineering design experience across multiple building types.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE).
  • Experience with FEA tools and Revit/BIM workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with clients, teammates, and project partners.
Benefits

While specifics vary by location, my client offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package that supports work‑life balance and long‑term development. This includes:

  • Flexible, supportive work environment with in‑office collaboration.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Retirement savings plan and wellness benefits.
  • Paid time off and professional development support, including training and leadership opportunities.
Why Join My Client?
  • Impactful Work: Engage in diverse structural projects, from new builds to complex renovations.
  • Growth‑Focused Culture: Work alongside experienced leaders who support mentorship, development planning, and advancement within the structural practice.
  • Collaborative Environment: Join a multidisciplinary team that emphasizes communication, partnership, and delivering high‑quality results for clients across the Midwest.

If you're ready to bring your structural expertise to a forward‑thinking firm where your contributions matter, this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career while shaping resilient, well‑designed structures.
