SUMMARY
As an Automation Field Engineer , you willberesponsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, andmaintainingautomated systems at customer sites.
As part of this work, you will support the validation of functional specifications and the required PLC/HMI programs working in a team as a contributor or technical lead.
You will also partner with a team of Manufacturing Intelligence, Hardware, and Industrial OT engineers to deliver comprehensive projects that meet customer requirements. During these projects, you will become a trusted consultant for Cybertrol’s customers.
ENLISTMENT INCENTIVES (ROAD WARRIOR PROGRAM)- $12,000 annual salary premium for the duration of enlistment
- Minimal work required when not scheduled for onsite assignment (i.e. project related documentation, customer calls, and training)
- 6 additional PTO days during the enlistment period (above standard offering)
- Structured rotation schedule:12 consecutive days onsite followed by 4 consecutive days off
- 2 months of paid time off awarded upon successful completion of the 18‑month enlistment
- Partner with Manufacturing Intelligence, Hardware, and Industrial OT engineers to deliver comprehensive projects that meet customer requirements
- Maintain customer contact throughout the life of the commissioning and for some time after commissioning
- Test and modify the PLC/HMI codein a modern software frame work to meet customer needs
- Ensure that quality processes have been followed to deliver zero-defect code to the customer during commissioning
- Provide technical leadership as required, including system-level thinking and problem-solving techniques
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence
- Working with multiple disciplines and trades while leading the commissioning of projects
- Minimum of five (5) years related and relevant experience in industrial automation
- Technical leadership capability to guide, and coach team members working on complex projects
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Curiosity and agility in problem solving when presented with a new challenge
- Focus and tenacity when given a challenge to see it through
- Goal oriented with a strong desire to learn new technologies and concepts
- PLC platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens S7, etc.
- Stand-alone and distributed HMI/SCADA platforms such as FTView SE/ME, Siemens WinCC, Wonderware Intouch/System Platform, Ignition, etc.
- Legacy PLCs and HMI/SCADA platforms
- Safety Control Systems – PLCs and Relays
- Industrial networks for device control such as Ethernet/IP, Profibus PA/DP, ASi,IOLink, HART, Device Net, etc.
