Entry-Level Civil​/Geotechnical Engineer - Water Resources

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an exciting position available for an entry‑level civil/geotechnical engineer to work in our water resources team.

• Assisting with analyzing and designing new and renovated water retaining structures including, but not limited to, embankment dams and levees
• Designing sheet pile and foundations
• Performing stability, seepage, and settlement modeling of embankment dams and levees
• Performing field observations and construction inspection (some travel will be required) for dams and levees sections
• Preparing reports and design computations
• Developing plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil or geotechnical engineering from an accredited college or university or be able to obtain the degree within nine months of hire date

• Coursework including slope stability, seepageポ analysis, and foundation design
• Software programs including Microsoft Excel, Rocscience, Geo Studio, or UTEXAS
• Subsurface investigations
• Soils laboratory testing
• Construction inspection
• Construction materials testing
• A master's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
• EIT certification
