Mead & Hunt, an award‑winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full‑time position is available for a highly motivated individual to join our Building Engineering group as a Senior Electrical Engineer. This opportunity is available out of the Denver, CO or the Madison, WI office location.
Responsibilities- Designing low and medium voltage power systems
- Lighting systems and associated controls
- Fire alarm and mass notification systems
- Preparing construction plans and specifications of electrical systems
- Developing probable construction costs
- Providing construction administration and site visits
- Mentoring less experienced staff
A valid driver's license and some travel will be required.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university
- At least 8 years of relevant electrical experience
- PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states
- Designing low and medium voltage power, lighting systems and controls, fire alarm and detection systems
- Preparing construction document drawings using Revit
- Designing electrical systems using power design (Easy Power preferred)
- Using lighting calculations software (AGI
32 preferred) - Coordinating the preparation of construction document drawings and specifications
- Providing construction administration services and site visits related to electrical systems
- Mentoring less experienced engineers and designers
- Competitive base salary range of $120k - $150K (Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as experience, skill set or location.)
