St. Leonard Catholic School has an opening for an elementary teacher. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about education and deeply committed to the mission of Catholic education. The ideal educator is a collaborative professional eager to partner with their colleagues, and families to nurture the academic, social, and spiritual growth of our students. This position is for a multi‑grade level class.

• Subject Expertise: Teachers must be knowledgeable about the subject being taught, ensuring accuracy and clarity in their instruction.
• Lesson Planning: Creating structured and effective plans that align with learning objectives and build upon previous content learned.
• Classroom Management: Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom to promote an environment conducive to learning.
• Assessment: Regular, effective, and reliable evaluation of students' progression and understanding.
• Communication: Effectively conveying ideas, building relationships, and creating a shared understanding with students, colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.

These skills are essential for creating a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters student success and personal growth.

Teacher must thrive in the classroom and be able to manage a multi‑grade level classroom. To teach each subject well while other students are busy with their class work.

K-6, endorsement in elementary education is required. This endorsement covers a wide range of ages and subjects, focusing on kindergarten‑aged children up through the junior high level.
