As a Special Education Teacher, you will design and implement a data-based educational program to meet the assessed individual needs of the students, participate on a multidisciplinary team and complete all required paperwork/ documentation/ monitoring of goal progress for both the Cardinal School and the Center, and provide training to others and engage in special projects upon request.
Salary Information
The starting pay is between $31.00 and $38.03 per hour (approximately $64,400 and $79,100 per year) depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. The maximum of the pay range is including a potential add-on of up to $2.97 per hour which is available for relevant credits above a bachelor's degree. A 12-month probationary period is required.
Pay for current or former state employees is set based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is in pay schedule and range 13/04.
Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by CWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.

Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have:
* Licensure or eligible for licensure by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) in Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801 or 2801) including licensure to teach students Middle Childhood through Adolescence (K-12).
* Eligible is defined as your license application is currently in progress with WI DPI state and are eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
