Job Summary:Are you passionate about teaching and empowering future nurses? UW-Madison School of Nursing is seeking committed and enthusiastic Clinical Faculty to join our team. As Clinical Faculty, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of nurses, ensuring they receive a comprehensive education and are well-prepared for their professional careers.
In this role, you will work closely with nursing students in accelerated and traditional undergraduate programs and will be assigned to teach experiential learning (clinical) across a variety of healthcare settings, and may provide hands-on instruction and guidance in classrooms and simulated care environments. Depending on expertise, qualifications, and program needs, it is also possible to be assigned to teach in graduate programs such as Doctor of Nursing Practice or PhD.

This position is full-time, 100%. This is an A-basis (12-month) position. This position requires most work to be performed in-person, on-site, or at a designated campus or clinical work location.
KeyJob Responsibilities:
- Teach primarily in baccalaureate (accelerated, traditional, and ADN to BSN completion) programs, but qualified applicants may also be assigned to teach courses in the DNP or PhD programs based on school/program needs. Teach in experiential courses (clinical), active learning classrooms, and simulated clinical learning environments using accepted course descriptions and objectives. Assure students meet expectations for required clinical hours if assigned to teach clinical courses.
- Utilize best pedagogical practices (e.g., active learning) to engage students in learning.
- Collaborate with other faculty on curriculum, course planning, and assessment at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Engage in other activities appropriate to a member of the School of Nursing academic community such as attending School meetings, participating in faculty development activities, and contributing to meeting the mission and vision of the School.
- Contribute to the School of Nursing mission through service activities (e.g., governance committees, outreach activities, or project task groups).
- Pursue areas of scholarly interest (e.g., evaluation studies to improve teaching and learning).
- Collaborate with colleagues in practice settings through academic-practice partnerships to contribute to student learning, practice improvement, or community outreach.
- Work to support and enhance the climate of excellence.
The minimum starting salary for this position is $100,833. Actual salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. This is an A-basis (12-month) position.

Required Qualifications:
Three or more years of professional experience in a healthcare setting as a registered nurse (RN), advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in and commitment to the teaching mission of the School of Nursing. Experience with clinical instruction, active learning, competency-based education, simulation, and inter-professional education is desirable.
