Lead Early Childhood Teacher (Full Time)

Madison Waldorf School seeks a dedicated and warm‑hearted Early Childhood teacher for the  school year.

We are looking for a teacher with classroom experience, whose love for children and enthusiasm for the Waldorf curriculum is complemented by their ability to work well with parents and colleagues. Candidates must possess at minimum a bachelor’s degree and we prefer candidates who are Waldorf trained or actively engaged in training.

The school offers a competitive wage and benefits package including a health care reimbursement account, funding for professional development, and tuition remission. Apply to be part of a welcoming, experienced, and caring staff who are looking to grow.

Founded in 2007, our school serves 55 children in Early Childhood and the Grades program. Our curriculum includes German and Russian Languages, Music, Movement, and Handwork. In addition, we have a parent/child program to introduce young families to Waldorf education. Madison Waldorf School is an associate school with AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools of North America) and full member of WECAN (Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America).

The school is located in the vibrant city of Madison Wisconsin, home to the state capital and the flagship campus of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Located on an isthmus and lands surrounding four lakes, is a rich intellectual and cultural environment. Neighborhood festivals and cultural events of all types abound, and this small city of 280,000 people is truly a place where there is always “too much to do.”

Madison offers a rich mix of farmers' markets, natural food co-ops and stores, and a wide variety of CSA’s. With numerous parks and many miles of bike and walking paths, outdoor recreation is a way of life for Madisonians.
