SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean, a premier multispecialty eye services network, is excited to announce an opportunity for a board‑eligible or board‑certified ophthalmologist, fellowship‑trained in cornea, to join our highly respected cornea service at the SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin.
This position offers a dynamic role that includes comprehensive cornea services, advanced comprehensive ophthalmology, and cutting‑edge refractive surgery. With our clinic performing the second‑highest volume of corneal transplants in the state, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on patients' lives.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who is comfortable managing complex cornea cases and proficient in the DMEK cornea transplant procedure.
Team and ServicesDavis Duehr Dean boasts a team of 20 Ophthalmologists and 36 Optometrists across 19 locations throughout southern Wisconsin, including the greater Madison area. The clinic offers general ophthalmology and specialized care in cornea, glaucoma, oculoplastics, pediatrics, refractive surgery, and retina. Our dedicated Ophthalmologists actively engage in outreach to our satellite locations, ensuring broad access to quality eye care.
Professional GrowthOpportunities include volunteer academic appointments with the University of Wisconsin, clinical research projects through the Dean Health Research Program, a competitive guaranteed salary for two years, potential bonuses, access to a full‑time outpatient surgery center with a dedicated ophthalmic anesthesia team, and state‑of‑the‑art photography and diagnostic resources.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive cornea services and perform corneal transplants, including DMEK procedures.
- Offer advanced ophthalmology and refractive surgery care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across 19 locations to deliver quality eye care.
- Board‑eligible or board‑certified ophthalmologist, fellowship‑trained in cornea.
