Project Architect
(Hybrid role - Madison, WI or Waukesha, WI area)

We are seeking a Project Architect to join our integrated team of design professionals and lead the delivery of architectural services across a variety of exciting project types. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Principals, and multi-disciplinary teams to guide projects from conception through completion. Your expertise will ensure design excellence, technical precision, and timely execution, while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design efforts through all project phases:
  • Pre-Design (programming, graphics, renderings)
  • Schematic Design (layout, materials, systems, product selections)
  • Design Development (coordination with other disciplines)
  • Construction Documents (detailing, specifications, coordination)
  • Bidding (addressing bidder inquiries, issuing supplemental drawings/addenda)
  • Construction Administration (RFIs, shop drawings, field visits, close-out)
• Ensure quality control and adherence to building codes and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, interior designers, and external consultants.
• Prepare and submit documentation for regulatory approvals.
• Mentor and guide junior architectural staff, providing both design and technical leadership.
• Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, ensuring deadlines and design goals are met.

Qualifications:

• Professional Degree in Architecture or related field.
• Professional Registration (AIA, NCARB).
• 8+ years of architectural experience, including 4+ years as a Project Architect leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience in science & technology, corporate office, and/or higher education projects strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam required.
• Experience with Enscape and AutoCAD preferred.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid schedule preferred: 2-3 days per week in-office.
• Candidates must be within 60 miles of either Madison or Waukesha, WI.
