Dental Services Manager
Access’ Celebrate Smiles program works to prevent tooth decay and educate children about good oral health. This program brings licensed dental staff to local schools screening children in grades 4k-8. We provide dental sealants, fluoride varnish, as well as dental cleaning and restorative treatment as needed. Children in the program become Access dental patients and can receive ongoing care at an Access dental clinic.
The Dental Services Manager is responsible for assuring that day-to-day dental operations are conducted in compliance with Access Community Health Centers (Access) policies, standards and overall organizational plans. The job scope includes working closely in a dyad with the Dental Provider Director to oversee the clinic’s dental operations, including the budget, staffing, and productivity. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring a high quality and satisfying patient experience, motivating and developing individuals and teams, using resources effectively, and efficiently and leading process improvement activities.
The Dental Services Manager works collaboratively with other site leaders to carry out Access’ mission and goals.
Access’ leadership team is responsible for the implementation of risk management and safety functions throughout the organization. The Dental Services Manager is responsible for ensuring that event reports are completed and followed up with root cause analysis and process improvement and managing patient complaints and behavior issues.
This position requires daily travel to elementary and middle schools in the Madison and Sun Prairie area.
Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day dental operations in compliance with Access policies and standards; partner with the Dental Provider Director to manage the clinic’s budget, staffing, productivity, and patient experience; lead process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other site leaders to implement Access’ mission and goals.
- Lead risk management and safety functions; ensure event reports are completed with root cause analysis and follow-up; manage patient complaints and behavior issues.
Required Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years of management experience in a health care setting or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with quality improvement and change processes.
- Strong and proven leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel. Experience with electronic practice management systems and electronic medical records.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business administration, or health/dental related field.
- Prior experience as a manager/supervisor.
- Experience working in a dental clinic.
- Experience in managing quality improvement processes.
- Fluency in Spanish/English, verbal and written skills.
