Join to apply for the Veterinary Client Care Specialist role at Lakefield Veterinary Group

Join a Team That Loves Pets, and Their People! Are you a people-person who can juggle a busy lobby, brighten someone’s day, and keep things running smoothly—all while being surrounded by wagging tails? Our general practice veterinary clinic is looking for a Client Care Specialist (CCS) to be the welcoming face our clients (and their pups!) look forward to seeing. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a team-centered environment, loves learning, and enjoys helping families give their pets the very best care.

What

You’ll Do
  • Champion our core values:
Respect, Learning, Doing the Right Thing, WOW Service, and Fun
  • Be the first friendly face our clients meet—help them feel at home and confident in their pet’s care
  • Share your knowledge of our services to guide and support clients (including those embarking on reproduction-related care)
  • Help direct the flow of pets and people to keep the day moving smoothly for the medical team
  • Gather patient histories and provide top-notch communication, in person and on the phone
  • Schedule appointments, including time-sensitive reproductive visits
  • Assist clients at checkout with clarity, compassion, and professionalism
  • Dispense prescriptions and retail products as directed
  • Manage payments and ensure accurate daily reconciliation
  • Help troubleshoot client concerns with kindness and confidence
  • Support a collaborative, upbeat workplace where everyone helps each other succeed
  • Pitch in wherever needed—because that’s what great teams do!
What We’re Looking For
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of customer service or retail experience (veterinary or medical experience is a bonus!)
  • Someone who communicates clearly, listens well, and stays calm under pressure
  • A natural multitasker who can pivot between tasks with a smile
  • Strong attention to detail—you’re the person who catches what others might miss
  • Comfort with computers and basic office software
  • Tact, diplomacy, and a team-first mindset
  • A genuine love of pets and people (and if you love puppies—major bonus!)
Physical Requirements

This is an active role! You’ll be standing, walking, bending, and helping handle pets. You should be comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs unassisted (50 lbs with help) and working in a fast-paced environment.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us
  • A supportive, close-knit team that celebrates wins and grows together
  • A fun, energetic environment rooted in high-quality medicine
  • The chance to play a meaningful role in all aspects of pet care—including exciting canine reproductive services
  • A workplace where your contributions truly matter
