• Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate possible hazards.
• Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Configure pipe routes.
• Assemble gas piping and equipment.
• Follow safety standards throughout the process, including while digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, grading trenches, and sealing joints.
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
• Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/Equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License Class A CDL preferred.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull 50 pounds regularly.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred.
