Position: Business Analyst, Inventory Allocation (Hybrid - Madison, Wisconsin Based)

Business Analyst, Inventory Allocation (Hybrid)

This role will leverage analytical skills to review future product inventory needs in line with our product strategy. As a crucial part of inventory management, you will apply forecasting models, analyze consumption patterns, and account for seasonal variations to ensure that our inventory aligns with performance trends.

Location:

Madison, WI corporate office. This position is eligible for the company’s Hybrid work program: office 3 days and remote 2 days.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse inventory targets, performance against targets, and contribute to action plans to ensure process success and sustainability.
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to determine precise inventory requirements and establish effective replenishment strategies.
  • Regularly prepare detailed inventory reports and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Highlight critical metrics such as stock levels, turnover rates, and order accuracy. Provide data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and deliver actionable recommendations for process enhancements and cost reductions.
  • Partner with the Category Planner to prioritize allocation of inventory across retail accounts and distribution centers to guarantee customer orders are shipped on time and in full.
  • Develop initial forecasts to ensure detailed item-level coverages for accounts.
  • Provide analytics to minimize and monitor inventory aging, excess and obsolescence.

Education & Experience:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Planning, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years of supply chain management or inventory management experience.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as SAP, Power BI, SAS, etc.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in BI & Excel tools and functionality.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to prioritize initiatives and anticipate business needs.
