Joining Oakwood Village as a Campus Administration Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience supporting campus leadership and learning about the daily operations of a mission‑driven senior living community. This internship includes both administrative support and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful special project that supports campus priorities and organizational effectiveness.

This position reports to the Executive Director.

  • Understanding assisted living community standards and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensuring a positive experience for residents, families, and staff.
  • Enhancing customer service and communication skills.
  • Developing leadership and community management abilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (not meant to be an all inclusive list):
Executive & Administrative Support
  • Provides administrative support to campus leadership with scheduling, coordination, and general office tasks.
  • Assists with preparation of materials for meetings, reports, and leadership initiatives.
  • Supports day‑to‑day administrative needs of the campus leadership team.
Special Project Support
  • Assists with a meaningful special project assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Provides support with research, organization, documentation, and follow‑through related to the project.
Event And Initiative Coordination
  • Helps support planning and coordination of campus events and activities.
  • Assists with logistics, communication, and follow‑up as needed.
General Office And Team Support
  • Collaborates with multiple departments to support campus operations.
  • Performs additional administrative duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications
  • This internship is open to current Undergraduate or Graduate students.
  • Studying Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong professionalism and ability to interact respectfully with staff, residents, families, and community partners.
  • Requires a customer service orientation with empathy and discretion.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality in a professional setting.
Timeline

This internship will last from 8-12 weeks, depending on the availability of intern. This position may work at either or both Oakwood campuses located in Madison.
