We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting firm in Madison, Wisconsin
. This role is ideal for a tax professional who thrives in a leadership position, enjoys building strong client relationships, and is passionate about mentoring and developing talent.

The Senior Tax Manager will oversee complex tax engagements, provide strategic tax planning, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base that may include closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and trusts.

• Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates
• Provide proactive tax planning and consulting services to clients
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key client relationships
• Lead, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers; review work and provide technical guidance
• Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met
• Stay current on tax law changes and assess their impact on clients
• Assist with firm initiatives such as process improvement, client development, and staff training
• Support partners with tax research, planning strategies, and special projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 8+ years of public accounting tax experience
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with partners and team members
