Accounting Manager

This organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to take ownership of core accounting functions and play a key role in strengthening financial operations across a specialized banking environment.

• Manage daily accounting activities and ensure adherence to internal policies
• Oversee journal entry postings and general ledger processes
• Lead, review, and enhance monthly account reconciliations
• Serve as a key resource for audit, compliance, and documentation standards

• Oversee all sales and use tax filings
• Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submissions

• Direct the preparation of weekly reporting on selected assets and liabilities
• Manage monthly financial statement preparation and review
• Oversee reports tied to insured depository solutions
• Maintain compliance with internal procedures and banking guidelines

• Work closely with internal and external audit partners
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure procedural consistency
• Support compliance initiatives across the accounting function

• Identify opportunities to streamline and strengthen accounting processes
• Provide insights and recommendations to leadership
• Support a versatile environment where bringing forward new ideas is encouraged

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA preferred or interest in pursuing certification
• Background in banking, public accounting, audit, compliance, or general business accounting
• Strong technical accounting skills with high attention to detail

Salary: $90,000 to $115,000
