This position combines frequent regional day-trip travel, external relationship-building, and internal admissions leadership to ensure outreach efforts translate into appropriate, well-supported admissions and a strong, ethical census pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Referral Development & Regional Outreach
    • Build and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, behavioral health providers, physicians, detox programs, courts, EAPs, and community agencies.
    • Conduct regular in-person outreach and scheduled travel to key markets, executing a regional outreach plan with weekly and monthly goals for provider visits, presentations, and community education.
    • Represent Turning Point Behavioral Health at conferences and professional events.
    • Educate referral partners on program services, admission criteria, and outcomes.
  • Admissions Leadership
    • Oversee the full admissions pipeline from first inquiry through admission, ensuring timely, professional communication and prompt, consistent follow-up for all inquiries.
    • Develop structured follow-up processes for prospective clients, families, and referral sources.
    • Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure appropriate level of care.
    • Monitor key conversion metrics (inquiry-to-assessment, assessment-to-admission, and lost referral recapture).
  • Client & Family Engagement
    • Serve as a primary contact for prospective clients and families, offering clear, compassionate guidance through the admissions process.
    • Maintain documented follow-up for individuals who defer or require future engagement.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with Clinical, Nursing, and Operations teams to align admissions with census needs and program capacity.
    • Participate in census, marketing, and leadership meetings.
    • Share referral/market feedback to support program improvement.
  • Data, Strategy & Performance
    • Maintain accurate documentation of referral and admissions activity.
    • Analyze referral patterns, market trends, and conversion data to guide outreach strategy.
    • Develop quarterly outreach and admissions plans tied to census goals.
    • Support ethical payor mix management with leadership.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree preferred (healthcare, marketing, behavioral health, or related field).
    • 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, admissions, or outreach.
    • Proven success in regional referral development.
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
    • Ability to travel frequently within the region.
    • Understanding behavioral health levels of care.
    • Strong organization, follow-up, and attention to detail.
    • Data-driven, with ability to interpret and act on performance metrics.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA and professional boundaries.
Work Environment
  • Frequent regional day travel for outreach and referral development.
  • Combination of community outreach, travel, and on-site admissions responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to respond to time-sensitive admissions needs.
  • Active participant in organizational planning related to growth and community partnerships.
