Position

Manager, Operations Supply Planning supports the supply planning process for external manufacturing and internal sites. The role ensures alignment with customer and market demand while maintaining operational efficiency. The execution planner will interact with internal and external supply sites, logistics, and other supply chain teams. Responsibilities include assisting in the development of supply strategies, helping to create and execute supply plans, and identifying and reporting risks or constraints that may affect product availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Planning and Execution
    • Develop and manage supply plans for materials related to product portfolios
    • Coordinate with internal and external manufacturing sites to balance customer service with operational efficiency
    • Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure purchase orders for Drug Substance, Drug Product and Finished Goods meet demand
  • Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain relationships with global and local supply chain teams and market stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply and identify risks
    • Attend supply chain meetings to align on customer requirements and consumption plans
  • Demand & Supply Alignment
    • Use ERP systems (e.g., SAP) to manage demand propagation and ensure effective MRP planning
    • Monitor changes in demand, communicate with stakeholders to adjust production plans, and update site production schedules
  • Risk Management & Problem Solving
    • Monitor and assess inventory risks (shortages, excess stock, obsolescence)
    • Identify and resolve supply constraints with relevant stakeholders
    • Support inventory risks related to regulatory or artwork changes
  • Metrics and Reporting
    • Track and report key supply chain metrics (backorders, inventory compliance, PO accuracy)
    • Contribute to inventory projections, budget processes, and root-cause analyses
    • Contribute to monthly/quarterly stock overviews and identify inventory risks
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
    • Participate in supply chain improvement projects and initiatives
    • Support new product introductions, government tender programs, and clinical supply requests
    • Maintain master data in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Digital Acumen, Analytics, and Learning
    • Utilize visualization and data tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and planning systems to monitor KPIs and support data-driven decisions
    • Contribute to digitization and automation of planning workflows
    • Perform task-level work using tools (WMS, SAP, Tableau, Riverlogic, Kinaxis) following SOPs
    • Adapt to new digital tools and platforms (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, forecasting systems)
    • Demonstrate strong planning and financial acumen with understanding of ERP codes and planning software
    • Familiarity with AI and ML features for performance management and optimization
    • Willingness to travel ad hoc up to 10%
Qualifications & Experience
  • B.S. or BA in supply chain management, science and/or engineering (biotechnology, engineering or related sciences)
  • APICS or related professional qualification preferred
  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in global manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations
  • Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Rapid Response) and related data analysis tools preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Base understanding of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry (cGMP, FDA, EMA)
