The Medical Practice Floor Liaison is the central operational connector for a high-volume, multispecialty practice with a strong focus on MSK evaluation, procedures, and treatment pathways
.
This role ensures seamless coordination across pain management, MSK/orthopedics, chiropractic, acupuncture, and primary care
, with particular emphasis on procedure-heavy and multi-visit MSK care plans
.
The Floor Liaison acts as the real-time integrator between:
- MSK providers and procedural teams
- Clinical support staff (MAs, nurses, techs)
- Front desk and scheduling
- Practice leadership
This individual maintains a deep, working knowledge of MSK workflows, procedural sequencing, and inter-provider dependencies
, ensuring the clinical floor runs smoothly from front-end scheduling through treatment execution

MSK & Procedural Flow Coordination (Primary Focus)
- Oversee real-time coordination of MSK evaluations, procedures, and treatment visits
- Understand and manage the flow of:
- MSK consults and follow-ups
- Procedural appointments (e.g., injections, interventional pain procedures, advanced MSK treatments)
- Chiropractic and acupuncture sessions tied to MSK care plans
- Ensure correct sequencing of MSK services
, minimizing delays and optimizing outcomes - Coordinate patient readiness, room availability, staffing, and provider timing for procedure-based visits
- Serve as the primary liaison between MSK providers, pain specialists, primary care, chiropractic, and acupuncture teams
- Facilitate communication regarding patient handoffs, shared treatment plans, and same-day or multi-visit care
- Support continuity of care for patients receiving integrated MSK treatment plans across multiple modalities
- Act as the central coordination point between front desk scheduling, clinical teams, and providers
- Translate scheduling realities into actionable clinical floor decisions, especially for procedure-heavy MSK days
- Communicate real-time floor status to scheduling teams to adjust flow, manage delays, and prevent downstream disruptions
- Ensure alignment between scheduled MSK procedures, staffing, room setup, and clinic capacity
- Monitor patient flow across all specialties with heightened attention to MSK procedural bottlenecks
- Coordinate room turnover, equipment readiness, and patient transitions
- Identify inefficiencies or conflicts and resolve them proactively before they impact care delivery
- Serve as a knowledgeable, visible presence for patients navigating complex MSK treatment journeys
- Help patients understand where they are in their care plan and what comes next
- Address non-clinical concerns and escalate issues appropriately to preserve trust and experience
- Maintain deep institutional knowledge of:
- MSK procedures and treatment pathways
- Provider skill sets and procedural schedules
- Workflow dependencies between MSK, pain, and rehabilitative services
- Staffing and room utilization patterns
- Act as a resource for how MSK care integrates with the broader practice ecosystem
