Role: Billing Coordinator

Location: Madison, NJ

Pay: $60,000 - $75,000 / year

A NJ based law firm in Morris County is seeking a billing coordinator to join a growing team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the firm’s billing function, ensuring accurate and timely billing processes, and collaborating closely with attorneys, partners, and legal staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of law firm billing experience
  • Previous experience of using SurePoint is preferred
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is helpful
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • College degree required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle billing for assigned Partner(s)
  • Coordinate new matter intake
  • Generate and distribute prebills
  • Finalize and send invoices to clients
  • Submit e-bills and manage electronic billing platforms
  • Handle appeals and billing rejections as needed
  • Monitor and follow up on invoices with open balances
