Overview
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting the acquisition of goods and services to meet operational and business needs. This role focuses on supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and procurement execution, while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and timelines. The specialist will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support efficient purchasing operations in an onsite environment.
Responsibilities- Handle procurement of goods and services in alignment with business requirements
- Support supplier sourcing
, evaluation, and selection activities - Assist with contract negotiations and supplier agreements
- Coordinate purchase activities to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency
- Maintain procurement documentation and records
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and priorities
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain support
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently in an onsite environment
- Experience supporting government or commercial contracts
- Familiarity with procurement systems or ERP tools
- Basic contract review or negotiation exposure
- Onsite role based in Madison, MS
- Collaborative, operations-focused environment
