Travel Nurse RN - Operating Room (OR)

Join a collaborative Surgical Services team for a 13‑week travel nursing assignment with consistent day shifts and call. Support a diverse perioperative case mix while delivering safe, patient‑ and family‑centered care.

Job Requirements
  • Licensure:
    Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Certifications:

    Current BLS and ACLS
  • Experience:

    2+ years acute care RN experience
  • Case Mix

    Experience:

    Orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, spine
  • Education:

    Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN)
  • Core

    Skills:

    Perioperative assessment, prioritization, documentation, teamwork, communication, patient and family education
Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room using a patient‑ and family‑centered approach
  • Complete pre‑op and intra‑op assessments and reassessments per policy, procedure, and patient condition
  • Initiate, prioritize, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and the surgical team
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient responses to clinical interventions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coordinate patient/family education related to procedures, recovery, and discharge planning
  • Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff; support mentoring/precepting as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence initiatives; comply with applicable regulatory standards
  • Participate in scheduled call coverage to support OR operations
