The Construction Manager works primarily from Madison, Indiana, and will serve the southeastern Indiana region. You may also have periodic assignments across the state as needed. You will lead modern and historic preservation work.
SalaryThe salary for this intermittent position traditionally starts at $66,950 per year but may be commensurate with education and experience.

A Day in the LifeResponsibilities include:
- Schedule, oversee, and/or complete construction projects.
- Communicate with historical staff, site coordinators, and construction staff.
- Ensure construction work is completed as requested and in a timely manner.
- Monitor building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements and make facility recommendations as indicated.
- Provide regular updates on construction progress.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other.d assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
WhatYou'll Need for Success
- Working knowledge of, and ability to use, skills in carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
- Ability to read and follow instructions and to handle simple mathematical problems.
- Ability to determine malfunctions of electrical and mechanical equipment and make repairs.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and various drawings.
- Ability to set tile and to finish concrete and drywall.
- Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- No degree is required to fill this position.
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
