We are looking for a part-time HR Generalist/Administrator to join the team! This is 20-25 hours a week, onsite position in a manufacturing facility in Madison, IN.
In this vital supporting role, you will assist with day-to-day human resources functions, employee support, and safety compliance activities at the facility. This position helps maintain accurate personnel and training records, assists with employee inquiries, supports safety programs, and contributes to fostering a positive and compliant workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining HR, safety, and training records.
- Support benefit enrollments, new hire and separation documentation, FMLA, disability, and workers’ compensation processes.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and employee orientation.
- Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, payroll etc.
- Help monitor time and attendance data as needed.
- Assist in coordinating and delivering safety programs, audits, inspections, and monthly safety meetings.
- Support accident investigations, OSHA reporting, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Support the preparation and distribution of safety, training, and performance reports.
- Back up and support other functions (customer service, receptionist, operations) if needed.
- Provide general support to the leadership team as needed.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of HR Generalist/Administration and safety experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with HR information and talent acquisition systems preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and work in both office and plant environments.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to spend time in a plant environment with variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.
- Exposure to production floor conditions, including noise, dust, and machinery.
- PPE must be worn as required, and all safety protocols must be followed.
Details:
- This is 20-25 hours a week, onsite position in a manufacturing facility in Madison, IN.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4-5 hours a day. Ideally alternating mornings/afternoons, so that you are able to interact with both 1st and 2nd shift employees.
- Pay based on experience; eligible for benefits.
- This is a W-2 position. No B2C/C2C. No sponsorship.
