We are seeking a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented support and case management services to residents of long-term care facilities and their families. Opportunities may exist for future transition to providing counseling services. Our care addresses a wide range of issues from anxiety and depression to severe mental illnesses and end-of-life concerns. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our clinicians significantly impact residents' quality of life by solving problems, delivering clinical care, and serving as a critical link in their care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Qualifications/
Education:
Master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy, with eligibility for licensure in the practicing state.
Knowledge:
- Population-specific interventions and care following treatment plans.
- Rules and regulations governing behavioral health practice.
- Organizational policies and procedures.
Skills:
- Data gathering and analysis of physiological, socioeconomic, behavioral, and emotional information.
- Training in social/emotional well-being, stress, anger management, and life skills.
- Accurate evaluation and appropriate intervention skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- High initiative, judgment, and discretion.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships.
Abilities:
- React calmly in emergencies.
- Work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Evaluate and recommend quality improvements.
- Handle sensitive information confidentially.
