2. THIS IS A FULLY QUALIFIED LINE MECHANIC POSITION.
The salary range for this position starts at $62.83 and progresses in accordance with the union contract. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
Position DescriptionThe position will require working both indoors and outdoors, and at times under adverse weather conditions. It is a shift position with various work schedules. The selected candidate must meet physical requirements as required by medical placement examination(s); an agility assessment may be required. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, clearing faulty and unsafe conditions, maintaining or restoring electrical service, by temporary or permanent means.
- At least one year of experience, must be a fully qualified Line Mechanic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: valid Commercial driver’s license (CDL) and satisfactory clean driving record.
- Physically able to perform the essential duties of the Line Mechanic position.
- Effectively interact, communicate, and direct the work of other co‑workers.
- Available to perform overtime and emergency work as required and live within one hour of the reporting location.
Once qualified as a Response Specialist Classification, remains in the position for a minimum of three (3) years from the date of transfer and will not be entitled to apply for posted job openings outside of the RSO during this period.

Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment, meaning you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
