The Prototyping Manufacturing and Integration Division (PMID) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Warehouse Specialist working on‑site at our Huntsville & Madison, AL facilities.
Responsibilities- Receiving, storing, kiting, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, and storage.
- Maintaining accurate warehouse inventory records and compiling reports.
- Packaging finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling) and staging/loading finished product for shipment.
- Operating forklifts and performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Communicating effectively and using Microsoft Office Suite.
- H.S. diploma or G.E.D., plus advanced training and 2‑3 years’ working knowledge of warehouse, logistics, or inventory management.
- Ability to perform all duties related to warehouse, inventory, and logistics.
- Assist in preparing documentation and asset‑management tags for inventory control.
- Able to conduct kitting operations and gather and deliver material for manufacturing orders.
- Basic understanding of maintaining inventories.
- Structure organization information and resources efficiently.
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, and basic hand tools.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- File documents electronically and hard copies.
- Work well in a team setting.
- Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices, store articles, fill and issue supplies, requisition inventory to fill incoming orders, and prepare inventory usage reports.
- Adhere to and practice safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Work in an environment requiring sitting, standing, reaching, bending, stooping, and moving items up to 50 lbs individually, with assistance when required.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, respirator, safety shoes, hearing protection, and hand protection.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance from the U.S. Department of War.
Nice to Have- Active/current SECRET clearance.
