The CNC Machinist will support both prototyping and production needs.
This position will require a background check and must have the ability to obtain & maintain a SECRET clearance from the US Department of War.
Seeking in a CNC Machinist:
- High School diploma (or equivalent) plus advanced training and 5-6 years' CNC Machinist experience
- Prior experience with DMG Mori, ONSRUD, and/or HAAS
- Ability to make basic edits to G-code or M-code
- Must be able to read complex engineering drawings
- Have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Proficient with setup of CNC milling/turning/multi-axis machines
- Knowledge of carbide/HSS tooling and adjusting feed and speed parameters for various cutting requirements
- Possess strong math and computer skills
- Effective communication both verbally and written with experience in process improvements
- Familiarity with digital tool libraries
- Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance on machines
- Work in an environment which requires sitting, sitting for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, standing, standing for long periods of time, reaching, grasping, bending, climbing, stooping, hold and move items with hand(s), multilimbed coordination, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, vision for operating machinery and for close and distance work and must be able to lift up to 50lbs individually, 50lbs or more with assistance
- Must wear all required personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to safety glasses, respirator, safety shoes, hearing protection and hand protection as required
- Active / current SECRET Clearance from the US Department of War
- Proficiency with DMG Mori with CELOS controllers
- Experience with FANUC 5-axis controllers
