Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly technical individual who possesses both strong analytical and organizational skills to join our payroll team. This individual will assist with all aspects of processing bi-weekly payrolls for our 1,000+ Associates. This includes payroll tax processing and reconciliations as well as assisting Associates with payroll and time sheet issues in a timely manner. This position requires dedication to excellence and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, determined, and able to take ownership of each responsibility assigned to this role.

What We’re Looking for
  • Associate’s Degree in Accounting or 3-5 years payroll/payroll tax experience
  • UKG or other large payroll system experience (i.e. ADP)
  • Payroll tax filing experience
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Experience with ERP system
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online

What You’ll Do
  • Bi-weekly payroll
  • Assist Associates and supervisors with payroll and time sheet questions
  • Guide Associates to the self-service portal when appropriate (knowledge of portal is a must)
  • Review time sheet status weekly
  • Maintain and process additional payroll items (deductions, earnings, adjustments)
  • Compile compliance reports
  • Collaborate with HR to process new hire and terminations
  • Assist with Quickbooks Online transactions, reconciliations, and maintenance
  • This position reports to the Payroll Manager
