Howyou will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. We are opening a new campus facility that will have two of our businesses (Marley and Ingenia Technologies) evolving and growing together at one site. As the maintenance manager on this campus, you will be responsible for analyzing production, operational, and project costs to improve financial efficiency and OEE.
This position is tactical in nature and involves tasks like variance analysis, budgeting, inventory costing, and reporting on cost-saving. The position will be expected to select the correct maintenance program approach (run to failure, time/cycle based, condition/data based). Key to this role will be to learn in a fast past environment.
Reporting into the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Services, of Ingenia, this position is also responsible to support our campus facility managing its costs, create accurate and sustainable budgets, and improve operational efficiency.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Prepare monthly operational reports support appropriate maintenance approaches for each asset within the campus.
- Expert in use of maintenance management software and its use to effectively lead and deploy a team of expert technicians.
- Prepare monthly reports of maintenance activities including costs and time spend on planned and unplanned maintenance, uptime, downtime, and contribution to OEE.
- Develop forecast of activities and costs associated maintaining and improving performance of all assets on campus.
- Manage outside maintenance suppliers for specific on campus support.
- Act as campus facilities primary contact for renovations management and equipment moves and installations.
- Monitor machine uptime/downtime and impact on overall OEE
- Monitor and optimize over costs of maintenance and upkeep.
- Maintain ongoing facilities and machine improvement projects roadmap tied to the 3-5-year operational strategic plan.
- In partnership with the campus EHS manager, related machine and asset performance to consumption of electricity, water, sewer and creation of waste streams.
- Ensure maintenance of guards and safety equipment on assets meeting OHSA and other regulatory requirements.
- Support manufacturing engineering manager in evaluation of new equipment for installation requirements, future maintenance costs, and general upkeep.
- Collaborate with other SPX facilities managers for implementation of best practices within a CI environment.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven record in assisting operational leadership with understanding and improving asset performance.
- Ability to manage a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- The use of MMS systems and coordination with production scheduling.
- Experience with startups (greenfield/brownfield), facility construction, and major renovations.
- Experience with the management of security systems.
- Knowledge of large cranes upkeep and management.
- BS Mechanical Engineering or similar.
* Travel will be required at times;
