Description:
The Operating Room at our Level III Trauma Center features 11 surgical suites and one cystoscopy/procedural room, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties in a fast pace and collaborative environment. Our team is built on strong interdisciplinary teamwork, clear communication, and mutual respect, creating a positive and cohesive culture for everyone contributes to exceptional patient care. Team members assist with all phases of surgery, preparing patients and equipment, supporting the surgical team before, during, and after procedures, maintaining sterility, and ensuring safety and accuracy throughout each case.
With dedicated leadership, diverse surgical experiences, and a strong sense of teamwork, the OR is an excellent place to grow and make an impact every day.
General Summary
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Education/Experience Required- BSN preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Health care provider certification (BCLS).
