Job DescriptionJob Summary: The welder is responsible for fitting and welding aluminum parts using a MIG and /or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his supervisor
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand and using a Welding Procedure Specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets qualify standards.
- Follow, create, and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications.
- Operate machinery used in the production process.
- Assemble items as instructed by supervisor.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
- Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
Skills and
Qualifications:
- Experience with aluminum and/or stainless steel required.
- Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds consistently required.
- Ability to identify and measure material.
- Ability to produce quality products consistently.
- Knowledge of machine and tools, including the designs and uses.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges.
- Welding certificate required.
- 2+ years of experience.
