DetailsBecome a part of the Hope At Home Inc. Family! We currently have a Private Duty CNA/Caregiver position available in Madison Heights. Positions are available throughout our service area of Metro Detroit.
Role and responsibilitiesThe Certified Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant is a paraprofessional member of the home health care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. The home health aide will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity, and safety of a patient’s care.
Qualifications- Medicare-certified home health aide certification (Required)
- Certified Home Health Aide (Required)
- Worked at a Medicare Certified Home healthcare agency
- Straight Cath experience is a MUST
- Current CPR certificate
- First Aid training
- Valid driver’s license
- High school degree
- Provide health care services in patient's residences
- Administer simple prescribed medications
- Assist with client’s personal care activities
- Monitor patients (vital signs, temperature, respiration, etc.) and report on their condition
- Maintain patient care records and document provided services
- Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
- Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
- Collect routine specimens
- Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
- Flexible schedule
- This is a Monday - Friday 6 hours/day
- Working at a Medicare Certified Home healthcare agency: 1 year
