It’s an exciting time to join Ionbond as we continue expanding our technical services in coating and finishing industrial components. We’re seeking a hands‑on Procurement Manager to standardize and optimize U.S. procurement activities. In this position, you will support multiple coating centers in North America, while transferring their requirements to the supply base. You will develop the supply base, negotiate with suppliers, and lead group purchasing initiatives and improvement projects with your supply base.
You will consolidate with your stakeholders and shape the Regional purchasing strategy. This role is based in the Metro Detroit area and reports to our General Manager
- Engages with supply base to meet the organization’s needs against optimized conditions.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and regulations such as ISO standards, environmental laws, etc.
- Responsible for filling procurement parameters and processes into systems like Business Central ERP systems and maintains the systems accordingly.
- Standardize purchases and consolidate suppliers while continuously negotiating local contracts with an aim to continuously reduce costs and/or add value. Represent Procurement with equipment and/or facility sourcing, creation and transfer projects.
- Leading supplier improvement and total cost of ownership initiatives.
- Manages Supply Base and supplier relationship along with managing quoting process, supplier selection process and contracting the suppliers.
- Supports inventory optimization and facilitates availability of various services, products, spares and programs.
- Oversee, train and offer backup to the Supply Chain Distribution Specialist.
- Collaborate with and support the Group Procurement manager with international procurement projects and improving Key Performance Indicators.

Who are we looking for?We are seeking a candidate with:
Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited college is preferredor has relevant work experience.
Between five and ten years of work experience in tactical/strategic procurement Advance knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Dynamics - Business Central Leading supplier negotiations for multiple US locationsInternational shipping of high value items
Excellent communication, project management skills and strong ability to multitaskStrong work ethic, demonstrating a commitment to time management and process improvement
Willing to travel throughout the US occasionally Must be eligible to work in the U.S, pass a background check and physical screeningthis position does not provide sponsorship.
