This contract position offers approximately 16 hours per week of onsite work, primarily covering for an RN who will be out for a few months and assisting with Initial IEPs at the preschool level.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing coverage and support on-site for school students, ensuring health and safety needs are met
- Assist with conducting Initial IEP meetings at the preschool to support student health accommodations
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to maintain compliance with health plans and school nursing protocols
- Document nursing assessments and interventions accurately in student health records
- Monitor and manage caseload of students requiring nursing services during assigned hours
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Valid California School Nurse Services Credential
- Experience working as a school nurse in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication skills for liaising with educators, families, and healthcare providers
- Ability to work onsite in a school environment and manage time effectively
This opportunity is located onsite in Madera, California, and offers approximately 16 hours per week. The position is available ASAP through December 19, 2025, with the possibility of extending into the spring semester. The ideal candidate can provide two full days per week of nursing support for the remainder of the semester.
