Yard Supervisor

The Auction Company is looking for a yard supervisor to help start its new location in Madera, CA. The Yard Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily yard operations, including supervising personnel, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring all functions are completed daily.

• Coordinate and setup entire auction (paperwork and physical setup)
• Hire and motivate staff to develop a productive cohesive team
• Supervise yard personnel and assign duties to personnel to coordinate workflow based on project requirements – will work alongside the employees when needed to get the job done
• Initiate disciplinary action as required
• Ensure that all safety protocols are implemented and followed. Schedule routine safety meetings
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
• Organize and schedule vendors for detailing and repair of approved auction items
• Obtain Bids from vendors with pricing for projects needed for yard maintenance
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Implement and train personnel in company policies and procedures
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed
• Maintain a neat and clean yard and yard office at all times
• Maintain optimal level of customer service and assist to resolve all customer issues
• Must be willing to work around auction schedules

• Must have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role as a supervisor
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
