The Clinical Social Worker (Health/CF) Safety is responsible for assessments, diagnosing, developing, monitoring, and modifying treatment plans, providing group therapy and collateral conferences, and documenting patient progress in a correctional health care setting. The role focuses on substance use disorder treatment within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT).
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and summarize case information for diagnosis, treatment planning, and disposition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team in diagnosis and treatment formulation.
- Develop, monitor, and modify treatment plans with the team.
- Provide individual and group therapy, collateral conferences, and document patient progress.
- Work with patients to create relapse prevention and re-entry plans.
- Maintain confidentiality, compliance, and follow all applicable policies.
Qualified candidates must meet the minimum qualifications listed in the Classification Specification, including:
- California Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.
- Valid license by the California Board of Behavioral Science; if not yet licensed, must obtain within four years.
- Adherence to required background and TB screening procedures.
- Completion of required training (e.g., Clinical Social Worker (Health/Correctional Facility) Safety bulletin exam).
- Must pass the State examination or provide evidence of qualification as per list eligibility procedures.
- Associate Clinical Social Worker license.
- Experience in addiction medicine and substance use treatment within a correctional setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to an inclusive and equitable workplace.
