Warehouse Specialist

Overview

Immediate need for a motivated Warehouse Worker in our Macon, GA Warehouse. The Warehouse Worker will perform the following tasks:

• Picks orders according to customer order picking sheet
• Checks accuracy of picked items by matching part number, description and quantities
• Prepares shipments by assembling, packing, protecting and labeling packages
• Determines method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate and time of shipment
• Documents items shipped by recording identifying information of items and transport information
• Verifies items received by inspecting condition of items
• Comparing count/measure of items to purchase order and packing list
• Maintains shipping and receiving materials by checking stock to determine inventory level
• Perform routine cycle counts
• Break down shipments, receive and stock shelves with product
• Operate forklift and/or pallet jack
• Maintain clean and safe work area
• Must follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and directed in the employee handbook
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional

• One Year of shipping and receiving experience
• One Year of experience with Inventory
• Forklift experience and certification preferred (will train)
• Basic knowledge of computer systems
• Must have good stable work history
• Must be able to pass a preemployment background, physical and drug screen
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to read and comprehend instructions as well as part identification numbers
• Able to multi-task and pay attention to detail a must
• Must be motivated, energetic and able to be on feet majority of the day
• Must be able to lift 40 – 60 lbs.
• Work performed in an un-air-conditioned warehouse. Employee may be exposed to heat or humid conditions.
• This position is highly physical and requires regular use of fingers, hands, able to stand for long periods of time able to bend and reach overhead
• Must be able to work independently and as a team player

Blake & Pendleton offers an excellent and comprehensive benefit package. Wages are competitive and commensurate with skill level and experience. Salary will start at $15 but may increase after 90 days
