About the RoleThe Fueler is responsible for the safe transportation, fueling, and servicing of heavy equipment, vehicles, and on-site fuel tanks. This role ensures compliance with all DOT, EPA, OSHA, and company safety standards while maintaining accurate fueling logs and equipment records.
Key Responsibilities- Operate company fuel truck to deliver and dispense fuel, oil, and DEF to equipment and vehicles at job sites and company yards.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT and Hazmat regulations, including proper placarding, load securement, and spill prevention.
- Maintain accurate fueling logs, mileage reports, and inspection records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle; report maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with basic equipment servicing (checking fluid levels, topping off lubricants, greasing as needed).
- Follow all company, OSHA, and environmental safety protocols related to fuel handling and hazardous materials.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding fuel needs and schedule changes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid CDL Class A or B with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements.
- Minimum 1–2 years commercial driving or fueling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safe fuel-handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently in outdoor and construction site environments.

- Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Work is primarily performed outdoors on active construction sites and in company yards.
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and various weather conditions is common.
- Must be able to work around heavy equipment and moving vehicles safely.
- May be required to work extended hours, nights, or weekends depending on project needs.
- Regular travel between job sites is required.
