We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller Technician to join our fast‑growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude and strong problem‑solving skills, as well as an active EPA Certification.
Job Responsibilities- Perform routine and unscheduled maintenance and repair of commercial systems including air‑cooled chillers, centrifugal chillers, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, valves, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, etc.
- Diagnose and repair machine and equipment defects including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components related to these systems.
- Inspect and test system components to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, general servicing, and troubleshooting of mechanical HVAC systems.
- Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning commercial chiller systems and related HVAC equipment.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to assess and repair HVAC systems.
- Responsible for high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, on‑site customer interface.
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial/industrial chiller and refrigeration equipment.
- Comfortable and knowledgeable in electrical including electrical components, timers, contractors, relays.
- Adhere to safety protocols and comply with regulatory requirements related to HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Continual learning and development in the body of knowledge through First Call Academy to ensure we set the bar for skill level in the industry.
- Elite level of customer service to ensure we continue to be the First Call our customers make for their HVAC needs.
This position reports to the local Branch Manager and is responsible for engaging with the service team and all of our customers.
Qualifications- Valid Driver License with acceptable driving record.
- Active EPA Certification.
- 2+ years’ experience in a commercial HVAC setting with chillers.
- OSHA 10 certification preferred.
- Technical training in HVAC or Refrigeration preferred.
- Available to work flexible hours and on‑call shifts as needed.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
