RIC Electrics (RIC) was established in 1979 in Wagga Wagga, NSW. The company is locally owned and operated and has grown to employ over 50 staff. We provide turn-key Electrical, Switchboard, PLC, Fire, Communication and Security services to the eastern seaboard, primarily regional NSW. Focusing on the commercial and industrial sectors, we provide complete electrical solutions from design and construct to commissioning, and service the local community with 24/7 breakdown and maintenance services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The position of Electrical Switchboard Builder will work as part of the Switchboard Division, within our Wagga Workshop to manufacture, assembly and cabling Switch Boards for our clients. This position would suit someone that has mechanical and/or fabrication skills that is willing to learn how to wire and cable electrical circuits.
Responsibilities- The assembly of switchboard cubicles
- Mount and install equipment in switchboard panels
- Install and wire meters, indicators and switches
- Power and control cabling to equipment
- Busbar fabrication and installation
- Fabrication and manufacture of metal brackets and panels
- Electrical testing of switchboards on completion
- Complete tasks with little/no supervision and sometimes small projects as a part of a team
- Communicate effectively with other RIC staff and contractors
- Maintain high level of safety, ensuring WHS compliance according to RIC policies and SWMS

- Understanding of Electrical Schematics, Single Line Diagrams and GA plans.
